Early Education programs at the ASI CSUDH Child Development Center are provided for Twos, Threes, and Fours.  We believe that children learn best when they are provided opportunities for play and time for exploration and discovery. Learning experiences are intentionally integrated into the child’s play.  It is the teacher’s role to individualize curriculum based on children’s skills, knowledge, needs, and interest.

We believe children learn when they are provided a beautiful and organized classroom, full of accessible materials and tools. Materials are selected to engage children to meet individualized and group learning objectives.

We use California’s Preschool Learning Foundations and Frameworks to enrich learning and development opportunities in the following nine learning domains:  Social-Emotional Development, Language and Literacy, English Language Development, Mathematics, Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Development, Health, History-Social Science, and Science.

Our nutrition coordinator plans and prepares all meals in our kitchen.  The Cycle menus are posted in each classroom and on our website.  All meals and snacks are planned and prepared with consideration to nutrition, taste, texture, variety, “child-appeal” and meet federal standards for nutrition and appropriateness for the children’s ages
